Adenan: NRD to withdraw appeal in conversion case


KUCHING: The National Registration Department (NRD) will withdraw its appeal against a High Court decision recognising a Sarawakian Muslim convert's right to be legally known as a Christian, according to Tan Sri Adenan Satem.

The Chief Minister said he spoke to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak about the NRD's appeal in the case of Roneey Rebit, a Bidayuh who was converted to Islam as a child.
