GEORGE TOWN: Four Umno leaders have been awarded a total of RM320,000 in damages and costs after they successfully sued PKR Youth deputy chief Dr Afif Bahardin (pic) for defamation.
Judicial Commissioner Lim Chong Fong, who handed down the judgment Friday, ordered Dr Afif to pay RM70,000 in damages to each of the four plaintiffs, with interest of 5% per annum from the filing of the suit was on Sept 3, 2014, to its full settlement.
