Australian Immigration: Sirul videos not filmed inside detention centre

PETALING JAYA: Australia found no evidence that former police commando, Sirul Azhar Umar (pic), had filmed or distributed videos from within the Villawood Immigration Detention Centre (VIDC), where he is being detained.

“The generalised nature of the statements made, including references to 'immigration and legal processes' are consistent with those underway immediately prior to Sirul Azhar's entry to detention," the Australian Government Department of Immigration and Border Protection said in a statement on the 60 Minutes programme's website on Sunday.
