PETALING JAYA: No Malaysians have been injured in the terror attacks in Brussels, said the Foreign Ministry.

“Our Malaysian Embassy in Brussels will continue to monitor the situation,” it added. In this hour of grief, Malaysia stands united with the families of the victims, the people and government of Belgium,” it added

Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has condemned the bombing in Brussels in a statement issued on Tuesday.

“I and in behalf of all Malaysians feel extremely sad and shocked over what happened in Brussels,” he said.

He reminded Malaysians and international counterparts that terrorism will not stop if it is not eradicated, and expressed his condolences towards the victims and families affected by this incident.

Dr Ahmad Zahid added that he stands in solidarity with the Belgians and supports any action that will be taken towards finding those who were responsible for the attacks.

“Although the mastermind behind this incident has not been identified, let us remember that similar incidences that have happened in Paris, Jakarta, Turkey and other areas are known to be orchestrated by terrorists," he added.
