PETALING JAYA: Blocking the emergency lane can delay the Fire and Rescue Department when lives are at stake.
"We have a target response time of less than 10 minutes, so when there are people blocking the emergency lane, it will take us longer to reach the location," said assistant director-general of fire and rescue operations division Zulkarnain Mohd Kassim.
