How to check if you are on the travel blacklist

PETALING JAYA: As more than 820,000 Malaysians have been blacklisted from leaving the country, Malaysians can check their current immigration status by logging into the Immigration Department of Malaysia's online checking system. Malaysians can follow these simple steps:

1. Visit http://sspi2.imi.gov.my/

2. Enter your IC number in the text field.

3. Click the “Semak” (Check) button.

4. View your status.

If you are not barred from leaving the country, the status will appear as “Tiada Halangan” (No restriction).

An alternative method to check your immigration status and to find out which government agency has issued the blacklist order is by calling the 1Malaysia One Call Centre (1MOCC) at 0388801000.
