Big challenge for leaders to convince people of Asean concept

KUALA LUMPUR: Just a few weeks shy of declaring the Asean Community, the grouping’s leaders admit that they have a challenge in bringing the concept to the people.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak acknowledged that too often, Asean could seem remote to the masses.
