PETALING JAYA: In the wake of one of the most devastating floods to have hit Peninsular Malaysia in recent years, SwitchUp is embarking on a journey to document how the people from worst-hit areas are rebuilding their lives.
Reporter Zack Yusof and videographer Tan Andrew's six-day road-trip is expected to take them through the states of Pahang, Kelantan and Perak.
Their first stop was in Temerloh, where they met people whose homes and business premises had been inundated by flood waters up to two metres high.
The long clean-up process has begun, with the people using the respite in bad weather to dry their wet belongings and pick up their lives.
The next stop is Gua Musang, where about 200 village houses were damaged in the worst-ever floods experienced there in 30 years.
