Woman dies after being hit by Komuter train near Batu Tiga station

SUBANG JAYA: A woman was killed after being hit by a KTM Komuter train here Friday morning.

Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Yahaya Ramli said the incident occurred at around 11.35am Friday near the Batu Tiga station.

"The woman was standing by the tracks and jumped in front of the train as it was passing by.

"The engineer sounded the horn multiple times but the woman just stood in the middle of the tracks and was hit by the train," he said when contacted.

He said the woman suffered injuries to her head while her right ear was torn off.

"The victim did not have any identification on her.

"She is believed to have trespassed into the track area through a hole in the fence near by," he said adding that the woman might have been a drug addict as she was skinny and had sores on her legs.
