MALAYSIAN singer Shila Amzah (pic), who made headlines in China for her recent performance in the I Am A Singer II reality TV show there, plans to hold a concert in her homeland.

Sin Chew Daily reported that the concert is scheduled to be held in May or June, but the venue and time have yet to be finalised.

The singing sensation, who made waves with her rendition of Xiang Ni De Ye (Thinking Of You On A Lonely Night) in the show, said she would concentrate on her career in China.

“I will spend more time to develop my singing career there. The market is enormous,” she said in Changsha, China.

Shila, 24, is currently contesting in a popular reality show hosted by Hunan TV, in which seven local and overseas singers compete in front of a live audience of 500 in each round.

According to her manager, Shila is also scheduled to release her first Chinese album in China and Malaysia.
