Kelantan to probe if land clearing in southern region was approved

KOTA BARU: The Kelantan Govern-ment, silent over the past few weeks when allegations of indiscriminate logging in the state’s southern region surfaced, said it will investigate the accusations.

Deputy Mentri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob said he was not sure of the location of the areas allegedly stripped bare of forest trees in Dabong, Sungai Betis and Bertam in the Kuala Krai district.
