MB to probe allegation of soliciting funds for MPPJ sports club

PETALING JAYA: Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Mohamed Khir Toyo has ordered an investigation into allegations that billboard licence applicants here are required to make contributions of at least RM10,000 for each billboard to the Petaling Jaya Municipal Council (MPPJ) Sports Club before approval. 

He said he had received complaints and wanted the council to explain whether these allegations were true, promising action would be taken if there were irregularities.
