TODAY’s guide to parking spots in Kuala Lumpur explores the immediate area around Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) where various exhibitions, conventions and seminars are held throughout the year.
PWTC is easily identified by the attached 40-storey Menara Dato Onn, a sight familiar to locals, which is also the headquarters of Umno, which is the owner of both buildings.
Happenings at PWTC, located at the corner of Jalan Tun Razak-Jalan Tun Ismail-Jalan Putra along with Seri Pacific Hotel, generally mean long queues on roads getting into the area and a tough time looking for parking.
On any other day, however, parking is fairly easy to get, with the people utilising the parking spots generally being those working in the area.
There are several council parking lots along Jalan 1/64d that once again prove to be the cheapest option but are limited.
Unless you arrive early, you might not be able to get a council lot in which case you will make a big round using Jalan Ipoh and Jalan Tun Razak to get back onto Jalan Putra where most of the parking spots are accessed from.
There are, however, other options to driving which is the Ampang line LRT, KTM Komuter and KL Monorail but for those who prefer the comforts of their own vehicles, here are some parking options to consider.
The following list is compiled based on distance from PWTC.
