Fast-food chain franchisor sued for alleged breach of Act


KUCHING: A franchisee of an international fast-food chain has filed a case against the franchising company at the High Court here.

The plaintiff, represented by Chong Brothers Advocates, is suing the defendant for alleged breach of Section 18(2)(a) of the Franchise Act, 1998 on the territorial rights granted to the plaintiff.
