JOHOR BARU: The price of Chinese New Year couplets (chun lian) sold at some schools here has doubled to RM20 compared to last year.
The couplets – pairs of auspicious phrases in Chinese calligraphy – are traditionally pasted at either side of the front door for good fortune, were sold at RM10 last year.
