Group wants to sue British government over Sarawak sovereignty

KUCHING: A group here is attempting to sue the British government over what it deems as failure by the latter to return sovereignty to Sarawak.

Former STAR candidate for Stampin, Lina Soo alleged that the British government, prior to the state’s independence, had allowed external interference in the state’s affairs while exercising repressive measures to deny the people’s demand for independence.
