Year-long safety checks launched

SAVE for a minor congestion, the traffic along the Penang Bridge and its vicinity was smooth despite it being the first day of the scheduled lane closure for maintenance.

Over at the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway leading to the bridge at about 5.30pm yesterday, it was the usual after- work traffic while the traffic coming from the other side (mainland to island) was moving at a slower pace than normal.
