THE concourse was all decked out in red; a red carpet rolled out from the stage right up to the Spanish steps.

Eight people carrying a traditional qiao (Chinese bridal carriage) entered the scene and stopped in the middle of the concourse. The groom then walked up to it and lightly kicked the door for his bride to alight.
