MBPJ to pave way for senior citizens care and assisted living

Fernandez says the intention of the guideline and new zoning is to initiate provision of specialised housing and healthcare facilities.

The Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) wants to amend the PJ Local Plan 1 and 2 to include zones that cater for the caring of and assisted living for the elderly.

Councillor Derek Fernandez said MBPJ was expected to approve the guidelines during the full board meeting tomorrow and proceed for public discussion as required by the Town and Country Planning Act.
