Thinking out of the box to end poverty

Agrobox is a portable two-storey farm that fits into a 5.8m shipping container with a small hydroponic garden on top and a fish farm below.

IT IS estimated that by 2020, the percentage of people living in large cities will go up to 75% and this will result in more urban poverty and food supply crises.

In an effort to curb this situation, steps need to be taken now and one of the initiative being carried out by the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) was unveiled during the Agrobox project launching in conjunction with National Landscape Day 2017.
