Traffic along several major roads in Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya came to a standstill on Tuesday evening as heavy rain caused flash floods in the Klang Valley.
Flash floods were reported along the Loke Yew-Salak South toll road, Jalan Bangsar, certain stretches of the Federal highway and the Sprint highway.
One of the worst affected areas is the junction between Sprint Highway and Jalan Dato Abu Bakar in Petaling Jaya.
The water rose to about a meter high. Several cars passing the underpass were trapped and submerged with water.
The flood also temporarily "cut off" traffic heading to Section 17 from Damansara Utama and Bangsar, causing massive jam along the Sprint highway.
