Helping out the men in blue

AS OF this month, the Malaysian Auxiliary Police Association (APA), formed in 1998 to ease bilateral relations between auxiliary agencies and the police department, has confirmed that there are 235 agencies with a total of 35,000 personnel.

Its president Baharudin Othman, the chief security officer at Port of Tanjung Pelepas in Johor, said the highest concentration of agencies are centred in Klang Valley where development is most rapid.
