THE statue of Lord Krishna was taken through the streets of George Town’s heritage enclave in two beautifully decorated chariotsduring the Ratha Yatra (Chariot Festival) by its devotees.

The chariot bearing images of Lord Jaganath, Goddess Subadhra Devi and Lord Baladev was pulled by their devotees in a show of devotion, while the other one carrying the idols of Sri Sri Nitai Gauranga (the incarnation of Lord Krishna) and Nityananda was pulled by a pair of bulls.
