The new KitKat Chocolatory in Mid Valley Megamall has made it possible for fans of the chocolate brand to create their own KitKat experience by using ingredients of their choice.
Customers can also select gift boxes and whereby they can personalised it with the name of the recipient, leave messages and wrapped in 10,000 different personalised styles.
But if customers want a unique experience without having to crack their heads on what ingredients to use, the concept store also offers special edition KitKat featuring unique flavours such as Nasi Lemak, Durian and Cafe Latte.
Nestle (Malaysia) Berhad managing director Alois Hofbauer said that the idea of introducing the concept store came about as more consumers prefer to have a say in how their favourite products taste, look and feel.
“Innovation is at the heart of our business, our aim has always been to provide for our consumers not only in terms of exciting new products but also the most exciting experiences of Nestle offerings.
“This is what’s happening now,” he said, adding that it was Nestle’s way of giving Malaysians a way to connect with the brand.
Nestle Malaysia Confectionery Business Unit business executive manager Sachin Goel added that the store was inspired by the chocolatory in Japan and the pop-up stores in Australia, however the outlet in Kuala Lumpur was the only one in the world providing the bespoke experience.

Next month, KitKat fans can look forward to the ‘Ais Kacang’ variant created together with celebrity chef Anis Nabilah.

For a limited time, the KitKat Chocolatory is offering a Royal Selection ‘Tengku Amir’s Jom Relax Break’ which was crafted together with the Raja Muda Selangor Tengku Amir Shah.
The Royal Selection features the iconic chocolate covered wafer bars paired with sultanas, apricots, oranges and almonds in milk chocolate.
Proceeds from the variant, will be channelled to Tengku Amir's chosen charity, the Selangor Cheshire Home.KitKat Chocolatory will be introducing new unique flavours every month.
