SANDAKAN: This east coast district’s sole international hotel, Four Points by Sheraton Sandakan, has been accorded a four-star rating.
Tourism and Culture Minister Datuk Nazri Aziz presented the four star certification to the hotel’s general manager Peter Padman recently.
Nazri said Sabah was being promoted aggressively at various international platforms via tourism travel marts and expos.
He said the Four Points’ attainment of the four-star rating would augur well for the growth of tourism in this historical town of Sandakan.
Padman said the four-star certification was an affirmation of a memorable experience for its guests.
“Our hotel offers great products with rooms featuring spectacular views of the sea and dining venues serving international, local and fusion cuisine,” he said.
“We are very happy to have been awarded the four-star rating and this would not have been possible without the outstanding service of our dedicated and fun-loving team,” Padman said.
“Service can be foundational, something you may find anywhere, but at Four Points by Sheraton Sandakan, we believe in making it memorable,” he noted.
Padman said the hotel’s management and staff were honoured to achieve this level of excellence.
“We believe that our associates who consistently deliver warm and genuine service and impeccable attention to detail contribute to a wonderful and outstanding experience for the guests,” he said.
“We will strive harder to enhance the services to ensure we go beyond guests’ expectations,” he added.
