Dept upgrades autorake system in Nibong Tebal

FLASH floods in Nibong Tebal town will be minimised following the installation of a new autorake system at the Jalan Teluk Ipil pump house.

Penang Flood Mitigation Committee chairman Chow Kon Yeow said the area was previously hit by flash floods once the rainfall reached 80mm to 100mm per hour and this resulted in losses and damage to properties.
