Ex-airman is CM’s information officer

A ROYAL Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) major, who was dismissed forvoicing his discontent overthe use of indelible ink in the 2013 polls to the mass media, has been appointed as information officer to the Chief Minister.

Zaidi Ahmad, (pic) 48, was sworn in before Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng in Komtar.

Lim said Zaidi would focus on Equitable Economic Agenda and safety matters.

“Zaidi is a man of principle and he showed his interest to serve to the people in Penang,” he said, adding that Zaidihas 26 years ofexperience as afighter jet pilot.

Also present at the ceremony was Raja Syazana Raja Shuib, a graduate from Seoul National University in South Korea, who has joined Penang Island City Council (MBPP)’s Engineering Department.

The 28-year-old engineer has a degree in Civil and Environment Engineering.

“Penang offers job opportunities to excellent graduates and Raja Syazana is one of them,” Lim said.
