Catholics to mark the start of Lent on Wednesday

ASH Wednesday, on Feb 18, marks the start of the Lent season for Catholics.

It in austere time of spiritual preparation where devout Catholics fast for 40 days, culminating in the celebration of the Holy Week which consists of Good Friday (the death of Christ) and Easter Sunday (resurrection of Christ).
