Does this mean Malaysians are finally reading more?
Due to overwhelming demand from out-of-town fans and ardent book lovers, this year’s Big Bad Wolf book sale, which runs 24-hours daily, at the Malaysia International Exhibition and Convention Centre (MIECC) in Seri Kembangan, Selangor has been extended to Dec 21.
The annual sale, touted as the world’s biggest book sale, offers unbeatable discounts on books (ranging from 75% to 95% off normal retail prices).
The sale features more than 3.5 million books covering the popular genres – children’s, art, cooking, biographies, graphic novels, history, automobiles, gardening, anime, fiction and more.
“What’s really remarkable is that every year, we attract hordes of new fans, which is a good sign that more people are discovering the joy of reading and learning,” says Andrew Yap, managing director of BookXcess, the organiser of the BBW sale.
This year’s sale also includes merchandise like collectible posters, tin-plated signs, die-cast models, wood-carved furniture and BBW merchandise.
The BBW sale ends on Dec 21 at 11.59pm. More info: www.bigbadwolfbooks.com.
