EXACTLY five months ago this column highlighted the need for the newly-formed National Affordable Housing Council (NAHC) to understand the key factors for the overhang of properties as well as how it should function to meet Pakatan Harapan’s manifesto promises to the people in the current five-year term.

Earlier this week, the National Housing Policy 2.0 (NHP2.0) 2018-2025 was unveiled with the main aim to address the issue of oversupply as well as affordability, which has created a massive mismatch that we are in now. So, was there anything new in the NHP2.0?
