Media Prima clarifies appointment of chairman

PETALING JAYA: Media Prima has clarified that Tan Sri Ismee Ismail is currently an independent non-executive director of the group (since June 1).

“Datuk Seri Fateh Iskandar, the current group chairman of Media Prima, had indicated to the board of Media Prima of his intention to step down to focus on his other business obligations and associations. 

“The appointment of a successor will be made at the next Media Prima board meeting. The new appointment will be announced by the group to the relevant authorities after approval of the board, in accordance to the regulations,” Media Prima said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Thursday.
