Siemens offers RM471.9mil software grant

PETALING JAYA: Global powerhouse Siemens is providing 100 million euros (RM471.92mil) worth of software grant to local universities and colleges to boost reskilling and increase training capability in preparation for the next industrial age.

Siemens AG president and chief executive officer Joe Kaeser said the software grant was meant to empower Malaysian university students on digitalisation, following a high-level meeting and courtesy call paid to the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Second International Trade and Industry Minister and Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai last Thursday.
