SCC surges to high of RM2.03 on bonus issue, share split


KUALA LUMPUR: Shares of low-profile SCC Holdings Bhd surged to a 12-month high of RM2.03 in early Thursday trade after it proposed a bonus issue and  also a share split.

At 9.25am, it was up 29 sen to RM1.99. There were 197,300 share done at prices ranging from RM1.80 to RM2.03.

The KLCI fell 2.41 points or 0.14% to 1,736.54. Turnover was 380.32 million shares valued at RM107.28mil. There were 133 gainers, 189 losers and 284 counters unchanged.

SCC's core businesses are animal health products and food service equipment.

The bonus issue was on the basis of one new share for every 10 held while the share split would see one share held after the proposed bonus issue into three shares.
