Trading ideas: Serba Dinamik, Pharmaniaga, IOI Properties, Carlsberg, IGB


UOB Kay Hian Malaysia Research expects Malaysian equities to be energised in 1H17 by a firmer ringgit and general election buzz.

KUALA LUMPUR: As the seasonal corporate results pick up pace, JF Apex Research expects Pharmaniaga, IOI Properties, Carlsberg, IGB to be among the stocks to watch on Wednesday.

Other stocks in focus are KPJ Healthcare, HLFG, Hong Leong Bank, Parkson, Ann Joo, Perdana Petroleum, Petronas Dagangan and Latitude Tree.

As for Serba Dinamik, the group has proposed to acquire a 40% stake in a Konsortium Amanie JV Sdn Bhd, which was awarded the contract to build a water treatment plant in Terengganu, for RM34mil.

Overnight on Wall Street, US markets recorded fresh record highs after quarterly earnings and President Donald Trump appointed a new national security advisor. 

Earlier, European stocks were positive following better-than-expected Euro Zone Purchasing Manager Index and higher oil prices.

At Bursa Malaysia, the FBM KLCI lost 6.03 points to end Tuesday at 1,706.55. 

JF Apex Research said following the positive performance in the US and Europe, the KLCI could rebound and climb towards its resistance of 1,730.
