BNM: New RENTAS system migration from Sept 16 to 18

KUALA LUMPUR: The migration to the new Real-time Gross Settlement and Debt Securities Depository (RENTAS) System will be carried from Sept 16 to 18.

This was announced by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and its unit Malaysian Electronic Clearing Corporation Sdn Bhd (MyClear) on Thursday 

BNM said the launch of the new RENTAS is the culmination of a multi-year effort to internationalise and modernise Malaysia’s financial market infrastructures to support the settlement of wholesale payments and securities denominated in international currencies.

MyClear's objective is to speed up Malaysia’s growth and prosperity by providing world-class payment systems and financial market infrastructures.
