KOTA BELUD: A total of RM380.8mil has been allocated under the 11th Malaysia Plan (11MP) to help Sabah boost rice production to meet the nation’s needs.
Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister, Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek, said Sabah produced 2.8 tonnes of rice per ha which were considered low compared with the national average of five tonnes.
