Russia’s Sberbank net profit doubles


MOSCOW: Russia’s top bank Sberbank made 72.6 billion roubles(US$1.03bil) in fourth-quarter net profit, 48% higher than a year earlier and better than analysts had forecast.

But its 2015 net profit was 23% lower than 2014 at 222.9 billion roubles because of weaker results in previous quarters.
