Fire razes part of Comfort Glove plant, shares down

KUALA LUMPUR: Shares of Comfort Gloves Bhd fell inn active trade on Friday on news about a fire which razed part of its factory in Taiping on Friday.

According to several eyewitness accounts, the fire which started at about 8am had razed the new wing of the factory in Jalan Matang, Taiping.

Fire engines from as far as Ipoh had also been deployed to the scene to help put out the fires.

The glove maker's shares fell seven sen or 8.05% to 80 sen. There were 23.39 million shares done.
