Boustead Plantations profit up on land sale


PETALING JAYA: Boustead Plantations Bhd (BPB) registered an after-tax profit of RM72.3mil for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2015, a 38% increase compared with RM52.4mil a year earlier. Revenue amounted to RM615.2mil.

The improved profit for the year was primarily due to gains on disposal of non-core land bank amounting to RM57.1mil. The company declared a dividend of 3 sen per share, bringing cumulative dividend to 13 sen per share. The dividend will be paid on March 25.
