Bintai Kinden unit wins RM120mil job


KUALA LUMPUR: Bintai Kinden Corp Bhd has secured a contract worth RM120mil by Optimal Property Management Sdn Bhd for a student campus development in Malacca.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Bintai Kinden said its wholly owned subsidiary Bintai Integerated Engineering & Construction Sdn Bhd had been appointed as the turnkey contractor for the Kolej Teknologi Islam Melaka Bhd’s (KTIM) student campus for a concession period of 25 Years for 7,002 students. 

“The proposed development of the turnkey project comprises nine blocks of four storey student hostel buildings, one block of students’ center, and one block of fellows’ house as well as associated infrastructure and common facilities on a total land size of approximately 15.58 acres,” Bintai Kinden said. 

The contract sum for this project is estimated to be RM120mil, subject to further due diligence, investigative site works, and regulatory approvals.

“We are extremely delighted that KTIM has placed their continued trust in Bintai for the development and construction of the new student campus and securing this project has again showcased Bintai as an integrated builder capable of undertaking various types of construction,” executive  director  Datuk Sharifah Kadnariah Syed Ahmad said.
