AEON shows confidence in Klang retail market

KLANG: The opening of the AEON Bukit Tinggi Shopping Centre reflects the confidence of AEON Co (M) Bhd in the fast-paced development of Klang, group chairman Datuk Abdullah Mohd Yusof said.

The largest AEON shopping centre in the region was officially opened by the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, in Bukit Tinggi recently.

The Bukit Tinggi centre is the 20th outlet to be operated by AEON Co.

It has about 200,000 sq m of retail space that accommodate almost 200 tenants, offering a wide range of products and services for shoppers, especially from Klang, Port Klang and Shah Alam.

Abdullah said the shopping mall, located on a 10.4ha site, has three levels of shopping space and over 5,000 parking bays.

He said the group's Jusco shopping centres had been operating in Malaysia since 1985.

Besides providing jobs, Jusco was also helping local small and medium-scale enterprises market their products at its outlets nationwide, he added. – Bernama
