PETALING JAYA: Malaysia qualified for the Davis Cup Asia-Oceania Group III semi-finals when they beat Hong Kong 2-1 for their second straight win.

Mohd Assri Merzuki gave top seeds Malaysia the first point by outplaying Andrew Li Hei Yin 6-3, 6-3 at the National Tennis Complex in Jalan Duta on Thursday.
