Hong Kong student leaders charged over pro-democracy protests

HONG KONG (Reuters) - Hong Kong police charged four student leaders on Friday with inciting others to join illegal assemblies, as part of an ongoing investigation into more than two months of pro-democracy protests that paralysed parts of the Asia financial centre.

Dozens of protesters holding yellow umbrellas that have become a symbol of the city's democracy movement shouted, "I want universal suffrage" and "Support the students" before the group entered the police station.
