Masked robber duo make off with RM130,000 jewellery haul

ALOR SETAR: Two masked robbers stormed into a jewellery shop in Pekan Baru Changlun near here and escaped with valuables worth about RM130,000 in broad daylight.

In the incident which occurred at about noon Saturday, the robbers were armed with a hammer and an air gun.

The robbers, both wearing gloves, smashed the glass display cabinets and took away seven trays of assorted jewellery.

It is believed the robbers are aged between 30 to 40 years old.

One of the robbers fired a shot into the air before escaping in a white Proton Wira headed towards the Kodiang area.

Kubang Pasu CID chief Ass Supt Mohd Norfadzly Mohd Hashim said police were looking for the two suspects.
