Sabah quake: Another weak earthquake hits Ranau

KUALA LUMPUR: A weak 4.0 magnitude earthquake hit Ranau, Sabah, early Friday. 

The tremor with a depth of 10km and 11km northwest of Ranau was felt by those living in the area, the Malaysian Meteorological Department said in a statement. 

According to Bernama, two weak earthquakes were recorded in Ranau on Thursday. 

A 2.5 magnitude quake hit at 11.51am while a second measuring 3.4 on Richter scale struck at 6.12pm. 

The Department has recorded more than 65 aftershocks since the July 5 Mount Kinabalu earthquake which resulted in the deaths of 18 people.
