PETALING JAYA: The Crown Prince of Johor made some scathing remarks apparently aimed at the Prime Minister when the latter did not show up at the Nothing2Hide dialogue at Putra World Trade Centre on Friday.
Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim (pic) posted on Johor Southern Tigers, the page of the Johor Football Association of which he is president, saying: "How can you have a dialogue called 'Nothing2Hide' featuring a person who has everything to hide? Obviously he won't show up."
Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak was to attend the dialogue with non-governmental organisations at the Putra World Trade Centre earlier Friday to clear the air on the 1Malaysia Development Berhad.
The event was called off by Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar citing "security and safety reasons."
Tunku Ismail's post was removed several hours later. However, with no explanation, the post went up again on the JFA page, complete with visuals, at about 7pm.
Tunku Ismail commented: "For those who had been entrusted the responsibility, do not blame people for losing confidence and trust in you, but think of why they no longer have the confidence and trust in you."
The organiser of the dialogue, Malaysian Volunteer Lawyers Association (SukaGuam), has said that Najib would hold a similar event at a date to be announced.
