KUALA LUMPUR: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) Board has declared a 6.75% dividend rate for 2014 for all its contributors, with a total payout of RM36.66bil.
"Despite uncertainties in both the domestic and global markets, our result in 2014 outperformed what we had achieved in 2013," said its chairman Tan Sri Samsudin Osman in a statement Saturday.
He noted that global EPF investments yielded 33% of its total income, despite amounting to only 23% of its total assets.
The EPF, with the approval of the Minister of Finance, also announced a RM39.08bil gross investment income for financial year that ended on Dec 31, 2014, an increase of 11.66% over 2013's RM35bil figure.
