PETALING JAYA: A Twitter user has apologised to Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar and the force for his "bastardization of PDRM" twit on Sunday.

“Hello both @PDRMsia @KBAB51, I am retracting the suggestion on the bastardization and apologize to you and all your members of the force,” said Viktor Wong on his Twitter account @wonghoicheng.

Earlier, Wong had twitted: “Bastardization of @PDRMsia. Thanks to the ruthless @KBAB51 Henrich Himmler of Malaysia.”

The message caught Khalid's attention and he directed the Police Cyber Investigation Response Centre (PCIRC) to act against Wong's twit.

Khalid also wanted action to be taken against another Twitter user, @ennasrul who tagged Khalid’s twitter handle @KBAB51 with a tweet reading “Anjing BN”.

The postings were in reference to the detention of some 250 members of the Penang Voluntary Patrol (PPS) after they participated in the Merdeka parade on Sunday.

Khalid had earlier warned that PPS was an illegal organisation.
