Housewife bound, gagged and raped by nephew in Kinabatangan

KOTA KINABALU: A housewife was in shock after she was bound, gagged, and raped by her teenage nephew in lower Kinabatangan area.

The 44-year-old woman was watching a show on her television when her 18-year-old nephew came by her house at about 11pm on Tuesday.

He allegedly held a parang to her neck before binding and gagging her and subsequently raped the woman.

He however untied the woman before fleeing the scene.

Kinabatangan district police chief Supt A Sahak said the woman had lodged a report following the incident and went for medical examination at the district hospital.

“The teenager was arrested not far from the area at about 10.30pm on Wednesday.

“This case is being investigated under Section 376 of the penal code for rape,” said Supt Sahak.
