PETALING JAYA: A quota system for the purchase of RON95 petrol and diesel for each individual consumer should be implemented to avoid smuggling or abuse of subsidies, said a non-governmental organisation called Kedah Anti-Fraud Taskforce.
Its president Khairul Anuar Ramli urged the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry not to restrict the quota system for subsidised RON95 and diesel to petrol stations alone but to extend it to consumers.
